The extensive pleasure grounds are a wonderful collection of Victorian and Edwardian ornamental features with walled and sunken gardens, scenic lakeside walks and a range of plants that provide both visual and horticultural interest throughout the seasons. Hours of work Winter Opening Arrangements ( October - December ) Gates open 10.00am Last Admission 4pm Estate closes 4.45pm Boathouse Café 10am to 4pm Last Tour of House 4.00pm Farmleigh Estate opens from Tuesdays - Sundays ( and Bank Holiday Mondays ) Entrance is free of charge. Guided tours of the House take place Thursday - Sunday (and Bank Holidays), provided the House is available and not in use by the Government.
