Farmleigh was purchased by the Irish Government from the Guinness family in 1999. The OPW has refurbished it as the premier accommodation for visiting dignitaries and guests of the nation, for high level Government meetings and for public enjoyment.

»»» County Dublin (89)Its great charm lies in the eclecticism of its interior decoration ranging from the classical style to Jacobean, Louis XV, Louis XVI and Georgian. The extensive pleasure grounds are a wonderful collection of Victorian and Edwardian ornamental features with walled and sunken gardens, scenic lakeside walks and a range of plants that provide both visual and horticultural interest throughout the seasons.

Last Tour of House 4.00pm
Farmleigh Estate opens from Tuesdays - Sundays ( and Bank Holiday Mondays ) Entrance is free of charge.
Guided tours of the House take place Thursday - Sunday (and Bank Holidays), provided the House is available and not in use by the Government. Please note that Schools, groups visits etc. can book tours by appointment on Thursdays and Fridays.
